120 is the story of a robbery in an East London bank featuring armed assailants. However, the key to the story is a bag with a timer containing a bomb. The timer begins at 120 minutes and has some technical features which add to the problems for the armed police and the negotiator sent to bring the situation to a safe conclusion. The complexity mounts when it is not clear who is really in charge inside or outside the bank. The feud between the negotiator and the armed response officer compounds this. The culmination of the novel is a car chase across the East of London with the bomb timer rapidly approaching zero. Will Faulkner, the man in the middle of the chaos escape with his life?
